For the second year running ArtAV visited Garsington Opera at Wormsley to film another of their incredible productions, this year Hänsel und Gretel.
Every year in June and July this temporary custom built, one of a kind building comes to life with the sound of opera. One performance, as part of the SO Festival in Skegness is shown Live on a huge screen on the beach.
One of the main parts of the brief was to be discrete, and not interrupt the running of this streamlined event so deadlines were deadlines. With only one shot at this and no full rehearsals, this 10 camera LIVE event needed some serious pre planning. From camera positions to stage cues, satellite links to cable runs, every second counted.
