Gillian Wearing’s biggest show since 2000

Gillian Wearing Whitechapel Gallery London , K20 Dusseldorf and Brandhorst Munich.

This survey show was produced by Whitechapel Gallery and K20 in Dusseldorf and ArtAV were asked to provide the equipment and installation crew for both venues. Much of Gillian’s older works had to  be encoded to file from the original analog masters and then transcoded by ArtAV for use on our media players

K20 has a much larger space than Whitechapel so works like ‘Family History’ and the seven monitor synchronized work ‘Snapshot” as well as the Turner prize winner work ‘60 Minute Silence’ were added to the exhibition. In total there were seventeen video works on show as well as many of Gillian’s photos. The K20 exhibition was curated byDr. Doris Krystof.

Brandhorst was a guest venue for the show curated by Bernhart Schwenk  of thePinakothek der Moderne, which was under reconstruction. Though smaller than the K20 space there were thirteen video works on show as well as photos.

ArtAV provided HD Panasonic and NEC and Barco projectors, BrightSign and Adtec media players as well as Anthony Gallo and Yamaha audio systems.
